So, the past couple of weeks i've been consumed in the redecoration of our upper floor in prep of the women's clothing and vintage launch later in the month (date TBC). Now decorating is laborious at the best of times but when we have a freak heat wave hit the UK and you've got a ceiling to paint it's a whole new level of sucky. With that being said i've decided i'm having a break from painting for a few days, rushing downstairs with a sweaty brow and upper lip isn't how I like to welcome customers generally unless you're into that, in which case i'll just crack on. The walls are sorted, we decided on Breakfast Room Green by Farrow & Ball (swatch above), rich in colour but not too dark that the walls feel like their closing in. Combined with white it really accents our mid century teak furniture and our vintage finds which i've slowly started to unpack back in our attic studio at home ready for their debut in the near future.

On another note we celebrated the shops 1st birthday on Wednesday! A modest affair, Jonny designed me a hilarious gif. of Lily (which is over on our FB page) and Kay brought me a bunch of flowers picked fresh from her garden. I received some really lovely emails, messages and comments online from customers and suppliers which was pretty sweet too.

This post has gone from inspo board to a run down of the week, so i'll leave it here for now. I'm just putting together my favourite tracks from the week for the latest instalment of  #17 This Week We're Playing... for those of you who like to check in for some new music recommendations, which if you didn't know already you can also listen to by searching MAUDS HOUSE on Spotify, i'm still moving tracks into the April Playlist too.

Catch up soon.
