My taste hasn't changed too much over the past several years, excusing the odd fad trend. However, putting together monthly mood boards is a way for me to reflect on what's inspiring me exactly at that time and a great way to pick up on repetitions within styles I gravitate towards. I guess the more times a theme repeats itself across one, two or three years, is a sign of a style you really love.

Since Tumblr and Pinterest broke the scene however many years ago, i've become so lazy in piecing my ideas together. It's become so easy to pin a picture and curate a board within minutes that i've not gone to the efforts of dragging a load of images into Photoshop for a long long time. This being said, I still hoard folders of images on my desktop that I really love, just in case they end up disappearing off the face of the internet. A way of making sure they're safe and my scratch disk isn't endlessly full is another reason why starting up these monthly mood boards on the MH journal is quite important to me. A possible brain dump some months, who knows, but we'll see where it goes.

I've had a few blogs over the years, but now having closed them all (R.I.P Fashion Mush 2008-2014), i'm hoping to use this space as a more personal outlet. Whether posts prove popular or unseen, i'm looking forward to sharing more with this little community which seems to be emerging through our shop in Skipton and online.
